It is more than just a new gun culture but it is starting to show its face more through the gun culture and started with the tea party. It is the new fear party as I like to call it and the mentality of them is crazy in itself. I will start with guns and why all the yelling and screaming about them. People are scared but not for the reasons that they want you to think that they are. You can actually profile these people. Also I would like to claim right now, I’m not talking about your average person that owns a pistol (one) for home protection, the hunter that actually hunts and has guns just enough for that need, the ones that shoot for sport, that have guns for targets, skeet, or trap, or the gun collector that actually collects for the purpose of the historical aspect of the weapon, takes pride, rarely shoots the gun because of its value, cleans it to a point of prestige, and knows everything about it.
I’m speaking of the person that stock piles gun, ammunition, and even body armor. Yes, these people buy level 3 or higher tactical body armor as well. They buy these guns because they have what I think is a serious mental disconnect from reality and I think they don’t want to have background checks, mental evaluations because most would eventually lose their gun ownership. If we started taking guns from these people just by putting in legislation stating that by review they had an accidently discharge due to neglect and violation of safety most would have already lost them. I have played nice about gun ownership because I personally like guns and believe people have a right to own them but this group has grown out of control. They have pushed the argument further from prevention of mass shootings to who and if some of these so called “law abiding” owners are themselves mental sound and responsible enough to own a gun. Frankly, I’m sick and tired of it and I’m tired of having to have conversations with gun crazy lunatics that have no sensibility about themselves. Enough is enough and it is time to call out these people as they are!
Here is the paragraph that is going to piss some people off and I’m guessing if it does then it is because they fall in this category. This is the profile of the new gun crazy, gun totting lunatic, gun nut at least three or more will apply it is a white male, republican, evangelical, 35 or above, served in the military in the late 70 into the 2000’s and didn’t see combat, served in the military was dishonorably discharged, dodged the draft, reads Info Wars, Red State, Drudge, watches Fox News, listens to Rush, Hannity, Alex Jones, believes conspiracy theories constantly and fully, are constantly doing other, “manly” things, big trucks, fighting, drinking, talks bad about women, racists, homophobic, they constantly misquote fact and not subjective history proven by multiple sources fact, they have no actual clue how government works.
These people also will lie about military service, lie about being victims of crimes, I have found often if they have a CCW/CHP will tell you they have pulled their weapon on someone more than once. This makes me want to ask. Where are you that this always happens that you need to pull your weapon? They have this feeling that they need to prove their manhood. They missed combat and need the big guns not to protect them from a government or a criminal. They need it to make them feel big, and to make them feel like their dick is bigger than it is. Let us just call it exactly what it is, it is an ego, manhood, self-confidence problem. It is a psychological issue, I would go as far as guessing these people also have significant others that are unhappy sexually, emotionally, the man is impatient, gay(not meaning this as a bash on the gay community mean it as these people are so afraid of anything even homophobic they sub guns for grasping their own sexuality). They are using guns to substitute for something else lacking in their lives and that is why you have the huge blow back. You take their AR-15, AK47, big bad military looking gun, not even taking their guns, just not letting them keep buying certain models of guns. You have actually taken their manhood, that is how they view it, you took the one thing they know makes them the bad ass male in a world that keeps the white man down.
Like I said, I think it is a psychological issue and if you took most of these stock piling, gun crazy, maniacs you will find deeper seed issues.
